I’d like to thank all of you for taking the time to audition for the Greer Children’s Theatre production of Beauty and the Beast. It takes a lot of courage to put yourself out there for something like this, and I appreciate all of you for doing that. We were very impressed with the number and quality of auditions that we had for this show. Many of the casting decisions were difficult to make, and that is because so many of you gave such strong auditions. We were not able to cast everyone in a role, but I want you to know that the reason for that is not that you weren’t talented enough, so I hope that those of you who did not get the role that you were after will keep auditioning, because your talent and preparation were wonderful.
For those of you who were cast, I look forward to working with you on this production. Chase McAbee is one of my favorite musical directors, and June Horton has a classic choreography style that is perfect for this iconic show. I am very excited about working with them and this fantastic cast over the next few months in order to bring this mammoth production to life.
There are other speaking roles and dancers which will be pulled from the ensemble.
Be sure to RSVP to email@example.com by Aug 4, 2019 to accept your role!!!!
If you haven't responded by Aug 4, 2019 we will assume you are passing on your role.

The Spotlight on the Arts Gala will feature a showcase of artists and entertainers from a variety of art areas. Because the Greer Center for the Arts features spaces for both visual and performing arts, the entertainment will include music, art, dance, theatre, and more! The Gala will include performances by internationally renowned pianist Emile Pandolfi and Greer native singer/songwriter turned musical force Noah Guthrie. The evening will be hosted by WSPA- TV host and producer, Jamarcus Gaston.
With over 30 recordings in his discography, Emile Pandolfi ranks among America's most popular piano artists. With the majority of his performance repertoire being lush, intricate arrangements of Broadway and standards that form the canon of "The Great American Songbook," his influences are, in fact, more classical than pop. It is this subjective layering of classical style that Pandolfi infuses onto the broad palette of selections–from his beloved Chopin, to Andrew Lloyd Webber, to Once Upon a December," from Anastasia–performed in his live concerts and recordings that resonates with audiences everywhere.
Singer/songwriter, Noah Guthrie found fame covering chart-topping hits as well as through his pivotal role as Roderick Meeks on the hit TV show, Glee. He received national attention with his blues-filled version of LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It," which, to date, has received over 26 million views. It's clear to see, however, that his skills are better put to use creating original music. One of the most talked about new voices in Americana music, Noah is steadily building a name for himself as a singer-songwriter. His richly textured voice is capable of conveying the emotion of a lyric as only a handful of artists can in today's music world.
The City of Greer Freedom Blast is a summer festival honoring our veterans and current US Armed Forces. Freedom Blast has become a great reason for our community to gather annually to pay our respects to our past and present Armed Service members.
This year, we want you to be involved in making this event even bigger and better. Use your talents to create one dynamic image to represent the City of Greer Freedom Blast in any 2D media you choose. The winning artwork will be used for promotional flyers, the festival t-shirt, and all multi-media materials. All eligible entries will be displayed in the Wall Gallery in City Hall during Freedom Blast.
Each entry must be inspired by or represent a patriotic theme (i.e. military appreciation, July 4th activities, Freedom Blast, etc.)
All 2D media acceptable, winner to be reproduced & printed by 4-color process.
The exhibition will not be judged in media or age categories. Works must not exceed 20 inches in any direction including the frame.
All original works must be received ready to hang with appropriate hardware in place.
