Foothills Philharmonic begins its 19th season on Saturday, September 22! The 2018-19 season features an exciting repertoire that showcases world famous classical masterpieces.  Come explore everything from classical and popular favorites to chamber music, and even a few selections you may hear for the first time!

Join us for the Opening Night Gala Concert, featuring Sibelius' masterful Symphony No. 8.

Local artists and Foothills Philarharmonic Orchestra are joining together in an art sale!*

On Saturday, September 22 at 6:30pm, art work by local artists will be featured at concert for sale.

*All proceeds benefit both the artists and Foothills Philharmonic.

Join us after the concert for a complimentary reception with the musicians and artistic director!

Submissions may be dropped off at Greer City Hall

Monday – Friday 8:00 am-5:00 pm

DETAILS

  • Free to enter, winners will receive a gift card to Target.
  • Open to Elementary, Middle, High School students.
  • Winners will be chosen from each age group.
  • There is no theme for the show. Any appropriate subject matter is eligible.
  • Media may include paint, pencil, pastel, charcoal, etc.
  • Only two-dimensional artwork can be accepted.
  • Cannot be larger than 48”
  • Must be matted with matboard and shrink wrapped or acetate covered. *Work must be ready to hang with well secured, sturdy hanging materials.

RECEPTION

Tuesday, November 13 from 5-6 PM @ Greer City Hall

Winners will be announced during the City Council Meeting immediately following the Reception. Winning pieces will be displayed in The Wall Gallery through the Thanksgiving holiday.

Saturday, November 10th or 17th, 2018 for the 7:00pm Performance
Backstage tours start promptly 5:30pm and will last approximately 30 minutes.
The show begins at 7:00pm.

J Harley Bonds Career Center – 505 North Main (Hwy 14) in Greer, SC

COST:

One leader admitted free with 10 scouts. The cost is $12.50 per scout
These prices are not available online and can only be purchased with this form.

Details:

Your workshop includes one patch per scout, a backstage tour including front and back of the House and On Stage terminology, practice acting time and admission to the show.

See the Show: If your group has already done the backstage tour and just wants to come see the show, we can offer you 2 free tickets for every 10 tickets purchased. See rates listed on order form above.

Supper and a Show: Enjoy pizza before the show for an additional $3.00 per person. Price includes: Two slices of pepperoni or cheese pizza and a drink.

***All orders must be accompanied by payment and postmarked by November 1, 2018***

Scouts may attend any other performance but will not receive patch or pizza. Group rate will apply.
